Why do you need truck brake testing?

Since April 2025, it's mandatory that brake performance tests are conducted at every safety inspection. The only methods approved for this safety inspection include:

• Roller Brake Tester (RBT)
• Electronic Brake Performance Monitoring System (EBPMS)
• Decelerometer with brake temperature readings 

Importantly, four laden brake tests per year are mandatory unless you’ve carried out a documented risk assessment.

Workshop brake testing for HGVs

We carry out DVSA Approved brake testing at our dedicated Wrexham workshop, where our experienced team will take care of your requirements and provide brake testing services which are fully complaint with relevant vehicle regulations and legislation.

If your vehicle was to fail a brake test, we have all the relevant parts available to get your vehicle operational again.
